Star Wars Episode VII is already in its pre-production stages, and George Lucas can just sit back and watch his baby be brought to life by someone else. Many wondered if there was going to be a new trilogy, because we all knew that Mr. Lucas wrote stories for nine episodes. Well come to find out, he was in fact in the mix of writing the new Star Wars movies a year before the Disney buyout. They God they stopped him.

This information comes from Lucas’ son, Jett Lucas, who had in interview with Flicks In The City.

We knew probably a year prior (to the purchase) he had started writing and king of researching, starting his whole little process.About half way through that process was when the idea of selling to Disney came up…It’s nice because he’s happiest when he’s writing and doing something with his time.

Jett when goes on saying that even though information out there suggested that JJ Abrams had not been in contact with George Lucas yet, his father had been talking closely with Abrams at a daily basis. Jett also mentioned that he knows what happens within this trilogy, but of course, will not give away any spoilers. Check out Jett’s interview down below to hear everything he has to say. Let me know what you think about it.
