I am a little late on this piece of news, because apparently it was announced back in July. Seems that Sylvester Stallone will reprise his role as Rocky in a new spin-off titled Creed. Come on Creed!
The movie will feature Apollo Creed’s grandson, played by Michael B. Jordan(Fruitvale Station, Chronicle), as he strives to be boxer following in his late grandfather’s footsteps. His family, of course, do not want him to proceed with that goal, most likely due to the fact that Apollo got killed in the ring. With Sylvester Stallone returning as Rocky, I can imagine the son seeking help from the old boxer, probably leading to Rocky training the young fighter. I am sure conflict will ensue from the family, but Rocky will not back down because he is Rocky. That is just what I think will happen, because there is really no word yet on just how significant the Rocky role will be in this movie.
