‘ExpendaBelles’ will be a Ladies Expendables Spin-off with Three Popular Actresses in Talks to Star

When I first heard the rumors for this, I really thought they would not go forward with it, or that it was a joke. It seems that “ExpendaBelles”, a female spin-off for The Expendables, is moving forward into being brought to life. Avi Lerner, Mark Gill, Julie Kroll and Heidi Jo Markel, are the production team that will be making this spin-off happen, and Lerner has given some casting details for the flick.

Meryl Streep, Cameron Diaz, and Milla Jovovich, are all in talks to star in the female driven action film. Jovovich was actually reported earlier this year that she was cast in Expendables 3, but after checking the cast list on IMDB, her name is not found. Here is what Lerner had to say about this movie:

The action movie will be spectacular – and in nothing inferior to the three male movies of the “The Expendables.” There will be battles, special and visual effects and stunts – the spectacle will be equivalent to what Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis and Jean Claude Van Damme have done … Two excellent screenwriters are already working on the picture. Now we are in search of a female director.

Yeah those two excellent screenwriters she is referring to, are Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith. They wrote the Legally Blonde movies, which does not give me any more hope for this movie. If anything it just makes it more laughable. The story will take place in Brunei, where the lady badasses will take on their villain.

I am still hoping this is a joke, and you know if this movie is made and sees some type positive reaction; Stallone and his misfit force of testosterone, will join forces with these ladies in an ultimate boy/girl team of ass kickery. It will be entertaining at best. Let me know what you guys think about this.
