Emma Stone and Jonah Hill have apparently been offered roles in the long awaited sequel, Ghostbusters 3. The sequel has heard its share of rumors, and it almost felt like it was not going to happen. Dan Aykroyd gave us a bit of hope though, by constantly letting us know that the movie is in full swing.

The image above is from Jonah Hill’s Twitter, where he lived my childhood dream by posing with the Ecto-1 vehicle. It was then reported that him and Stone were offered roles in the new movie.

The movie is supposed to center around a new group of young Ghostbuster recruits, that will be trained be by the original Ghostbusters. Only three of the originals sadly, since Bill Murray has no intentions on returning for the sequel. Aykroyd did tell us that they wrote him out of the movie, but if he somehow changes his mind, they have a version where his character will be present.

Hill reportedly was offered the role of Jeremy, and Stone was offered the role of Anna. No info yet on if they will accept the roles, but I would not mind seeing a Superbad reunion for this movie. Let’s get Michael Cera in there just to make it a bit sweeter. Ghostbusters 3 is supposed to start production sometime next year, so any more information about this I will let you know.
