Hugh Jackman has just signed on to play the villain Blackbeard in Joe Wright’s upcoming Peter Pan project. The project was referred to as “Pan” before, but apparently they are going to change the title a little bit, so now it is strictly titled, “Joe Wright Untitled Peter Pan Project”.
Hugh Jackman always delivers indelible performances that resonate with audiences. We know he will create a Blackbeard who will be a powerful presence in this original Peter Pan adventure.
There is a reason that Hugh is known and loved the world over. He is uncompromising in his dedication to every role, and we are all thrilled to be working with him again.
Greg Silverman and Sue Kroll from Warner Bros. made those comments about casting Jackman, and I think we can all agree with them. This Peter Pan movie is due to release on July 17th, 2015, where it will face off against Marvel’s Ant-Man. Yes, that date once belonged to Batman Vs. Superman.
