It was a weekend of remakes and love, and it begged the question: will any one of these movies top The LEGO Movie? That answer is a big fat NO. The LEGO Movie scored the top spot in the box office for its second weekend in a row with $48.8 million, bringing the grand total to $129.1 million in just 2 weeks. The movie is unstoppable.

Out of 4 new movies that came out this weekend, which one did you think would be the winner? RoboCop? You’d think with having a 2 day head start. Sadly the robo-remake scored third place with $26.4 million. Kevin Hart’s About Last Night defeated the half man, half machine, with $27 million. This tells us two things: Kevin Hart is on fire this year, and why the hell would you release RoboCop over Valentine’s weekend? Here is how the top 10 did this weekend.

  1. The LEGO Movie – $48.8M – TOTAL – $129.1M
  2. About Last Night – $27M – TOTAL – $27M
  3. RoboCop – $21.5M – TOTAL – $26.4M
  4. The Monuments Men – $15M – TOTAL $43.7M
  5. Endless Love – $13.4 – TOTAL – $13.4M
