With all the anticipated casting and character announcements for Batman Vs. Superman, many of us wondered if Russell Crowe would reprise his role as the badass Jor-El. Yes, the character did die, so the obvious answer to that would be no, but maybe they would just use the image of him once again when Clark was aboard those vessels. We all dug this new Jor-El iteration, but sadly Crowe spoke about reprising that role recently, and confirmed that he will not be returning.

It makes sense. If they added him back into the already huge cast, the story might feel a bit convoluted. Crowe did express interest in doing a prequel for the Man of Steel, but I highly doubt Warner Bros. will go for it.
