Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub to Supply Voices for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Knoxville-Shalhoub-TMNT

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles teaser trailer dropped last week, and Turtle fans everywhere expressed just how much they hated it. From the look of the Turtles, to the questionable casting choices, the movie has seen its fair share of backlash the past week. Another question that came about with the new movie, was who was going to supply the voices for the Turtles and Splinter. Some speculated that the motion-capture actors were going to do it, but apparently the filmmakers felt they needed some names to do it. Here we go.

Johnny Knoxville will supply the voice for Leonardo, and Tony Shalhoub will supply the voice for Splinter. Yeah, Knoxville doesn’t exactly have that leader of the team type of voice, unless he’s leading a team of misfits filming crazy stunts. Shalhoub is a comedic actor, and that is also pretty questionable as well.

No word on who will supply the voices for the other characters, but I think the filmmakers are trying to get some support back from the trailer backlash, by casting some known names for the roles. Who knows, but let me know your thoughts about this casting.
