I told you! I said that one of these damn studios was going to pull out of this game of superhero, box office chicken, and I said that Marvel would be the one to do it. If you guys didn’t know, Batman Vs. Superman was delayed 10 months to the date May 6th, 2016. There was an untitled Marvel project that was slated on that date, but Marvel didn’t bother to announce what movie they planned for that date. So once the buzz for Captain America 2 started circulating throughout the world, Marvel decided they wanted Captain America 3 to go up against Batman Vs. Superman. They were riding high on the buzz they were getting from all the Cappy 2 hype and got a little too confident. Looks like they are sobering up.

Disney Chairman, Alan Horn, was interviewed recently where he talked about all the Disney blockbusters that were slated for the next couple years. Star Wars 7, Pirates 5, and of course, Captain America 3. Look what was tweeted out.

Ha! Now I absolutely loved Captain America 2, but to put the third movie up against Batman and Superman is like putting me up against Mike Tyson on PCP. Sure, it would be entertaining, but we all know who would win that battle. The anticipation for Batman and Superman coming together is at a level that only an Avengers movie could go up against, not a third individual movie. I feel Marvel will definitely pull out of that date, simply because Batman Vs. Superman is about to officially begin production, and I don’t even think there is a script yet for Captain 3. We shall see what happens, but in the mean time, let me know your thoughts about this.
