Here is some breaking news I didn’t expect to see today, or anytime soon; Shane Black will be writing and directing a newly rebooted Predator movie. Now at first I thought how random it was that Shane Black will be shining new light in the Predator franchise, because if you look at the movies he’s made, they don’t scream action sci-fi adventure. He did do Iron Man 3 though, so there’s that, but I forgot he was actually in the original Predator movie. He played Hawkins, so I guess it seems fitting that he takes on the task of rebooting the franchise.
No word on a release date for the new movie, or when they plan on beginning production. Let’s hope this leads into the “kind of” rebooted Alien franchise, and we get a decent Alien Vs. Predator movie.
