Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has been probably deemed the best movie of the Summer by critics and audiences, yet it made less than that popcorn robot movie. It’s an injustice, but that is just the way it goes. With that, us fans of the Ape movie wanted it to get as much money as it can, and this weekend it had three new movies to go up against. A family movie, an R-Rated sex comedy, and am R-Rated thriller. Luckily, the Apes won the battle pulling in another $36 million, beating out the three new movies. Thank you guys for not going to see Sex Tape.
