Rupert Wyatt given the task to bring one of the most adored mutants from the X-Men world, and then he walks away. What was the reason? Usually BS came out of the movie world. “Scheduling conflicts”, and if you believed that well that’s fine. I’m not one to judge. But every time you see the term scheduling conflicts it means that one person saw it one way while a whole studio saw it another way.
20th Century Fox apparently saw Wyatt’s take as too “ambitious” and wanted a much safer movie take on Gambit. The is Fox coming off of getting butt raped by the nuclear bomb that was Fantastic Four, and they are acting like big time damaged goods. More on this as it comes in.
