Ben Affleck Confirms Solo Batman Title and… by filmjunkee
Ben Affleck has been busy promoting his new movie, The Accountant, but the people interviewing him can’t help but ask questions about Batman. In the video below, he confirms that they are calling the solo Batman movie, “The Batman”, as of now. He says he might change it, but I think we’re all okay with the choice.
He also talked about why he chose Deathstroke as a villain for the movie.
He’s a great villain because—I just had an instinctive feeling that he would match up with him well. You know, I’m a big admirer of that character as well, especially in the New 52 the way that they did Deathstroke, and I thought that it could work.
You know, it’s hard to say exactly what it is. I think the reaction spoke for itself. It just seems like a great counterpart to Batman. They’re similar in terms of skillsets, they’re similar in terms of tone, and he’s never been utilised in a movie before which is really, really exciting.
