The response to The Cloverfield Paradox has been a little divisive, but whether or not you liked the third installment in the Cloverfield franchise, you got to love the puzzle game they have created. Some of us wanted answers to some of those pieces and didn’t get them, but someone figured out that at the 18:20 mark, both movies sync up.
The Shepard on the Cloverfield gets fired up and the lights go out and the ground shakes in New York during Rob’s party. Doesn’t sound like a coincidence at all given the way this franchise is, but sadly, it was. JJ Abrams said so in a Facebook Q&A and I recorded the video above before that. Ah well…
