Rumors keep on circulating in regards to if Wonder Woman is going to make an appearance in Batman Vs. Superman. Seems that Jaimie Alexander, who plays Sif in the Thor movies, recently spoke out about Wonder Woman on a panel at Comickaze Expo in Los Angeles. Seems she has been talking with Warner Bros. about possibly cracking the Wonder Woman whip. Apparently she even has an idea of what the story line is going to be for Batman Vs. Superman. Marry me Jaimie Alexander.
I’m a huge fan of Wonder Woman. I really think if this is the closest that we’re ever going to get to Wonder Woman, then I’m proud to play Sif. I hope that other comic book entities can learn a lesson from Marvel in how to execute a female character the way it should be done….I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it’s done with class, I’d rather it not be done. I would love for DC to put Wonder Woman in one of their upcoming flicks, either in her own movie or Batman Vs. Superman, or just something even to introduce her. Being in the comic book world, we know a lot of the same people at DC and Marvel, so we hear a lot of things, but it’s all speculation right now. But I would absolutely love that [Wonder Woman appearing in one of the upcoming films]. Thankfully and gratefully, I’m appreciative to the people who ask my opinion of the character, and that’s been pretty amazing.
That is what she had to say about the amazon woman, and I completely agree with her. When I first saw the fan artwork image that you see above, I thought, wow, she is a good choice to play this character. Alexander actually retweet the image with a winky smiley face, which may indicate she is getting closer to sealing the deal. Of course, she is already in the Marvel world, but who is to say actors can’t cross universes.
Alexander also went on to talk about Thor 2, and how depending on how it does in the box office, will determine Thor 3’s fate. I am sure it will do great, so if we do not see Alexander as Wonder Woman, we will see more of her as Sif.
