Paramount Studios is busy planning Star Trek 3, and would like to see a 2016 release. Since J.J. Abrams went to the other side of the galaxy, Paramount has been looking at other directors to take his place. Attack The Block director, Joe Cornish, is reported being Paramount’s top choice.
Cornish has not said anything about meeting with Paramount, so this information is not set in stone yet. Cornish not only directed Attack The Block, but lent his scribing creativity to movies like The Adventures Of Tintin, and the upcoming Ant-Man. I will let you guys know when the deal is set, whether it be Cornish or some other Captain.
