We have seen are fair share of Batman video games over the years, and they just keep getting better. With the Batman Arkham series releasing three awesome RPGs, it is now time to bring an arcade style video game for our Dark Knight.
Batman Arcade is a new arcade game developed by Specular Interactive that allows you to drive through Gotham City in the different Batmobile iterations from the past 60 years. This is not a game you can just download, or pop in your console. In order for you to play the game, you will have to get off your ass and try to locate one at an arcade. Might seem like a lot of work, but also seems like a lot of fun if you can track one down. There is just something about actually sitting down, utilizing a steering wheel and pedals that you just can’t get from playing games at home. Sure you can buy a special chair to bring that experience to your home, but it still isn’t quite the same.
In Batman Arcade, you are given the option to use different bat vehicles. From the Batmobile in the 60’s TV show, to the Batwing from the Dark Knight Rises, you get to rampage through Gotham fighting crime. There are 6 stages and 36 missions to go through, 3 bosses, and tons of lines spoken from the characters we love so much. If you want to check out the arcade game in action, check out the videos below. If you start drooling, it is okay. My keyboard is soaked.
