If you are a fan of the Spiderman comics, or you remember the very first Spiderman movie, you know that Norman Osborn (played by Willem Dafoe in the movie) was the identity of the villain, the Green Goblin. After trying to enhance himself with his experiments, something goes wrong and the Green Goblin is born. Then in the Spiderman mythos, Harry, Norman’s son, goes through a similar transformation to become the Hobgoblin. As you can see from the close up image from the Amazing Spiderman 2 poster that was spotted last week, that face does not look like an older gentleman.
Sources are stating that in the new sequel, Harry Osborn will be the Green Goblin, played by Dane DeHaan, instead of Norman Osborn, played by Chris Cooper. It might displease some die-hard fans out there, but hey, it’s better than that ridiculous mask from the first Spiderman movie. Let me know what you think about the change.
