Batman Vs. Superman will begin principal photography in February, which just means the crew of the movie are working tirelessly in the pre-production stages. One in particular person that is working hard is costume designer Michael Wilkinson. He has given us an update on how the costumes are coming along.
We are now in the stage where we’re refining our designs with the last series of camera tests and doing our final tweaks in preparation for shooting.
He then went on to compare these costume designs, to his most recent costume designs for a little star-studded movie called American Hustle.
[They are] quite similar. [I am] tremendously excited [to be working on how these] characters will be seen for the next generation of filmmakers.
Now since Batman and Wonder Woman are getting variations of the costumes we haven’t seen before, Wilkinson will be updating the Superman costume just a little bit. He also confirmed on what Kevin Smith said when he saw a picture of Ben Affleck in the suit after Zack Snyder showed him after the Man of Steel Q&A aired online. There has also been speculation that the batsuit will reference Batman: Noel’s batsuit (image above), which I actually dig.
Hopefully we will get an image or two of the new costumes. I am so anxious to see what the batsuit is going to look like, and I hope the wonder woman costume is legit looking, and not just a piece of lingerie. Batman Vs. Superman is gearing up to being the biggest movie of 2015, so let me know how anxious you are to see the costumes.
