Quentin Tarantino revealed on the Tonight Show not too long ago, that he was working on a new script, and that he was going to be tackling the western genre once again. Some of us kind of hoped for a Django Unchained sequel, but he clarified that it wasn’t a sequel, just a completely new western story. Now we have gotten word that he has finished the first draft of the script, and that he is eyeing two actors for main roles.
The Hateful Eight is the running title for the new movie as of now, which sounds to me like a Tarantino homage to The Maginificent Seven. The two actors Tarantino is apparently eyeing for the leads, are Christoph Waltz and Bruce Dern. Waltz should come as no surprise, given he has been in Tarantino’s last two films, winning an Oscar for Django Unchained. Bruce Dern also had a small role in Django, and no other actors have been mentioned yet.
The Hateful Eight is likely not see theaters until 2016, and if anymore information comes about, I surely let you guys know.
