When you have Liam Neeson throwing punches and shooting people, you can expect a little bit of magic. The once only dramatic actor who said he wasn’t into doing action flicks in the ’90s, has now secured himself in the badass hall of fame, and we continue with Non-Stop.
Non-Stop sees an air marshal who is down on his luck, and who hates to fly. On a routine flight to London, Neeson’s character is then met with an impossible scenario. Someone tells him that a person on the plane will die every 20 minutes unless they get paid $150 million. Neeson then tries his best to mend the situation, but ends being blamed for hijacking the plane.
I really enjoyed Non-Stop, and if you are a Liam Neeson fan, you will enjoy it too. He does an excellent job playing this part, and I don’t mean just the ass-kicking parts (although those were great as always) I am talking about just playing the character. Normally Liam Neeson is this care-free badass that is super level headed. His character in this flick is down on his luck, and is even an alcoholic. It’s a nice little change, and even the whole cast does a great job as well. What really works for the movie is the fact that is is entirely shot on the plane, so that sense of claustrophobia is really made apparent. There are many tense moments throughout the movie that keep you engaged in the story and characters, and even though there are numerous moments that are highly convenient, I still had my brain within the story until the very end.
The only real gripes about the movie is that fact of the convenience of this plan of killing people every 20 minutes. A lot of other critics out there hated this fact when I read a few their reviews, but I thought it didn’t ruin the flick at me whatsoever. It’s frickin Liam Neeson bruh!
So I highly suggest checking this movie out. Its a fun, tense, and gripping movie, that actually has many plot twists. Check out my video review below if you’d rather not use your eyes to just read my review. Let me know if you saw it, and what you thought about it.
Thought you reported well, just leave out the belching.
