The Wachowski Brothers, who were the brilliant minds behind The Matrix trilogy, might not be done with the computer reality world. Seems that a hot tip has come about stating that the brothers might in the middle of developing brand-new Matrix films.
We’ve been told that the Wachowski’s have already started the writing process with early treatments and outlines already turned into the studio. No word if they will want to direct but my money says “Claro que Si!
This excites me greatly, because I am a huge fan of the trilogy, and I want to see more. The Wachowskis haven’t really had much luck when the trilogy was over. V for Vendetta was notably their most successful non-Matrix flick, but then came Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas. Speed Racer was actually beautifully done, and Cloud Atlas is a very complex story, full of fantasy. Their heads are in the right place, but it seems that nobody wants to give their movies the time of day anymore. Sadly, Jupiter Ascending that is due out this year, will probably not be a great box office success, so I can see why the brothers want to go back to the Matrix.
If this does indeed happen, we probably won’t get a first movie until 2017. Possibly 2016 given they have already begun to write some words, so anymore info on this I will let you know.
