Obviously this weekend was Captain America: The Winter Soldier weekend, so no other films dared to go up against it. And with that, the superhero sequel sets a new April box office record by pulling in $96.2 million. The previous April box office record was set by Fast Five back in 2011, but now we got a new champ and that man wears america spangly outfit.
