New Justice League Rumors Suggest ‘Crowd… by filmjunkee
Justice League Part 1 has begun filming today, but over the weekend new rumors were suggesting that Warner Bros. was going in full panic mode due to Batman v Superman not being the hit they wanted it to be. I don’t know about the panic button dramatization, but yes, they need to make sure Justice League indeed hits with the audience, and according to these rumors, that was always going tom be the case.
According to Variety: As for ‘Batman v Superman,’ those involved weren’t prepared for the critical knives the film received, but they always knew it was going to be a transitional film, bridging the gap between ‘Man of Steel’ (which was produced with no plan in place to expand the universe) and anything approaching the Avengers/Super Friends mold. But I’m told ‘Justice League’ will be a crowd-pleaser more suited to Snyder’s talents, and that the upcoming two-part event is ‘extremely kinetic and visual.’ It will be far more straightforward than existential in its handling of superheroes.
There’s also rumors that Geoff Johns of DC Comics will be looked at as the Kevin Feige of the DCEU, which he’s already been confirmed to have written a solo Batman script with Ben Affleck. Let’s hope that is true.
