Bridesmaids Director Reveals Details for Wonder Woman Movie Pitch

Warner Bros. is hoping to get a Wonder Woman movie underway very soon, and it looks like a director of two hit comedies wants a little piece of the action. Paul Feig who directed Bridesmaids, and the recent comedy hit, The Heat, pitched an idea he had about Wonder Woman. Let’s just say he wanted a different tone for the amazon woman.

The story would be more of a comedy tone to it which is right up his alley, where Diana tries to signify herself as a superhero in the world already with heroes such as Superman and Batman. They would be straight up a-holes to her, simply because they do not think she has what it takes to be a serious crime fighter. Wonder Woman? Not having what it takes? You can see why Warner Bros. passed on the pitch, but I will however, give him props for this idea. He wanted to have the same comedic tone as the first Iron Man movie, but that just sounds like a superhero version of Mean GIrls.

I still think Warner Bros. should hire the director of that fan film that blew up online. That idea really works for me, and a lot of fellow comic book nerds would agree. Let me know what you think about Paul Feig’s pitch.
