Ghostbusters 3 Moving Forward After Harold Ramis Death

ghostbusters3

If you are a Ghostbusters fan like myself, the news that Harold Ramis passed away on Monday stung you a little. There was also the question if Ghostbusters 3 was going to move forward, and it was actually supposed to begin production this Spring, but new writers were brought in to revise the script. Now those new writers are going to have to revise it again, because naturally Ramis was going to revise is role as the brain of the team, Egon. Apparently it was only going to be a kind of cameo, along with Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.

Murray wasn´t initially suppose to return for the movie, which was mentioned many times by Aykroyd, but I guess they got him to agree with making a cameo in the sequel. Now I am sure he has no problem with coming back in respects of his good friend and comedy partner.

Ghostbusters 3 will star a new team of ghost chasing professionals, and there were rumors that Emma Stone and Jonah Hill were sought out for roles. Stone apparently passed on the role (sad face) but there is still no word on if Hill will star in the movie. Anna Faris and Eliza Dushku have signed on, and pretty much the rest of the cast will be returning.

There still isn´t any word on when the Ghostbusters 3 will begin production, but as soon as I get that info, I will let you know.

I think we’d all be better off if this was just put into a containment unit and forgotten about.
