Suicide Squad Breaks Thursday Night Box Office… by filmjunkee
The critics haven’t been too nice to Suicide Squad this week, and many of us worried that the negative reviews would affect the box office earnings. Looking at the Thursday night box office return…no worries. Suicide Squad pulled in $20.5 million last night breaking all Thursday night records…in August. You know how specific these records get. Regardless how specific it is, it’s a pretty high number and it is set to meet that $140 million box office opening.
Now to the bad news. China doesn’t seem like they are going to release Suicide Squad in their market, which hurts the supposed $750 million it needs to make total. Let’s hope the film has legs.
