Two Hercules Movies are Coming Out Next Year. Here is the Teaser Trailer to One of Them.

So I was a bit confused when I heard the teaser trailer dropped for the new Hercules movie today. In recent weeks, I kept reading posts and tweets about Dwayne Johnson posting images from his Hercules movie set, leading me to believe this trailer was for that film. The teaser trailer for a Hercules movie was shown off at NYCC today, and figured I was going to see the big and buff Dwayne Johnson kicking some serious Hercules ass. Boy was I wrong.

There are in fact TWO Hercules movies coming out in 2014. One, is of course the Dwayne Johnson version directed by Brett Ratner, and based off the comic book Hercules: The Thracian War. The other, is titled Hercules: The Legend Begins, which is a prequel to the Hercules story, and stars Kellan Lutz. Lutz is from those silly vampire movies you and I love so much called Twilight. This strikes me as strange, because I only was hearing about the Dwayne Johnson version of the half man and half god. Well the prequel version has beaten the other one to the teaser trailer punch, and that piece of footage is below for you to check out.

After watching the teaser, and taking in the fact that the other version has The Rock in it and is directed by Mr. Ratner, I can only stipulate that the prequel version will probably be the better movie all around, and the Johnson version will be a huge special effects spectacle that will get a low film critic rating. I could be wrong though, but what is puzzling is that the two films will be released about two months from each other. This prequel will release in March, while Johnson’s version will release at the end of July. Very strange, but check out the teaser below and let me know what you think.
