Beetlejuice 2 was talked about back in 2011, that had Tim Burton’s blessing to go forward with the sequel, and a script was being conjured up by Seth Grahame-Smith. We then heard word that Michael Keaton was in talks to return as the lovable ghoul, and that Tim Burton would return, but in the producer’s chair. Well it looks like Tim Burton has changed his mind and wants to return as the captain of the sequel ship.
Burton was set to make the film adaptation to Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, but then it was then reported that he was going to drop out of that film to make the Beetlejuice sequel. He has now apparently rearranged his schedule to direct both movies. Word on the movie streets have said that the script by Grahame-Smith for Beetlejuice 2, is very good, but no details on the storyline quite yet.
So yes friends, looks like we will be getting a long-awaited sequel we have been waiting decades for. With Tim Burton returning to direct, and the hopes of Keaton returning to reprise the role, should be pimpin good time. Let me know what you think about it.
