Star Wars Episode VII kind of has a countdown clock ticking loudly for it. I reported to you that the production has seen its fair share of delays, and J.J. Abrams and Disney are scrambling to get the production back on track. With that, more information about the cast is coming out, and it looks like Chiwetel Ejiofor might have a role in the new sequel.
This information comes about because apparently the actor has been seen hanging around J.J. Abram’s Office. Apparently it is not because they are buddies, but that he has been shown interest from Abrams to join the film. Chiwetel Ejiofor is getting a ton of praise for is performance in the movie 12 Years a Slave. Critics believe he is a shoe in to get an Oscar nom, so exciting things are happening in Ejiofor’s career at the moment if he ends up in one of the biggest sequels of 2015, as well as an Oscar nom.
No word on what character Ejiofor is going for, or if it is for a Jedi role, or Sith role. I will keep you posted if more information comes out about this.
