Hugh Jackman Might Not be Wolverine Anymore

Well this is certainly news I do not want to report. Seems that Hugh Jackman is singing a different tune about returning as the character that launched his career, Wolverine. Not too long ago, Jackman mentioned how him and director James Mangold were already set for another Wolverine sequel. I have also heard him in a recent interview stating that only a role like this comes around in a lifetime, so why not hold onto as long as possible? Now he is saying this about returning as Logan:

I don’t know whether or not I will do this next movie. I am really proud of this movie and I am excited to develop something with Jim Mangold from the beginning because that is a great ride. That’s exciting, to see what we come up with but I have a very high expectation of what it would need to be [for me to star in it] and if it doesn’t reach those, I won’t be doing it.

Why Hugh? Why? I don’t think any of us can see any other actor playing Wolverine, and I have stated that he is the best cast superhero of all the movie superheroes. When asked if there was a script being worked on for the sequel, he responded with this:

No there is not but Jim Mangold and I were literally on the phone last night talking about ideas but there is no script and no writer yet so it’s a way off.

And now we have a new X-Men sequel in the works after X-Men: Days of Future Past comes out, title X-Men Apocalypse, that was just announced a couple days ago by Bryan Singer. I certainly hope he has a change of heart, or this is all made up, because again, I cannot see anyone playing the role as well as he has. Let me know what you guys think about this, and what actor you think could take over Wolverine.
