Fire has been put out this weekend by the new Disney animated movie, Frozen. The Disney flick pulled in $31.6 million, taking the top spot from the 2 consecutive box office winner, Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Catching Fire still made it in second place with $27 million, bringing its domestic earnings to $336.7 million.

The only real newcomer that hit theaters over the weekend, was Scott Cooper’s Out of the Furnace. The performance driven drama didn’t really catch audiences, and only pulled in $5.3 million, but that still managed to grab the third place spot. When Rotten Tomato reviews started rolling in for Out of the Furnace, it was certified fresh, and seemed like it was going to stay that way. Sadly though, it is now considered rotten as it sits at 52%. Here is how the top 10 rounded out over this weekend:

  1. Frozen – $31.6 million
  2. Hunger Games: Catching Fire – $27 million
  3. Out of the Furnace – $5.3 million
  4. Thor: The Dark World – $4.7 million
  5. Delivery Man – $3.8 million
  6. Homefront – $3.4 million
  7. The Book Thief – $2.7 million
  8. The Best Man Holiday – $2.6 million
  9. Philomena – $2.3 million
  10. Dallas Buys Club – $1.5 million
