DC is working tirelessly to catch up to where Marvel is, and plans to reach their level will include numerous TV shows being announced in the coming months. One show that was recently purchased by Fox, after a bidding war for the rights, is “Gotham“. The show will feature a young Jim Gordon as he moves up the rankings as a police officer, and you can bet he will come across the beginnings of some of the classic Batman villains.
One bit of news that was released recently, was the fact that they plan on having a young Bruce Wayne to be a regular throughout the series. They have begun to seek out a 10 year-old Wayne, and much of the first season will focus on Gordon as a rookie detective working on the case of the Thomas and Martha Wayne murder.
I have mixed feelings about the show, simply because it’s on Fox first of all, and why is it needed? Then again, it could link itself to our new Batman in the movies a prequel, and hopefully they make it dark and gritty. Let me know your thoughts about the show.
