Besides the batsuit, I think everyone is dying to know what the Caped Crusader’s ride is going to look like in Batman Vs. Superman. I already reported rumored concepts, as well as some news on who was behind the new design of the Batmobile not too long ago, but we still don’t really know the direction they will take. Today we get a new update on the production of the recognizable vehicle
I was informed that the Batmobile is actually being designed and built in Warren, Michigan at GM’s famed ‘Studio X’ – the auto industry’s equivalent of Fort Knox. Or the first rule of FIGHT CLUB…
The Batmobile will then be finished at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood by February. I believe this is where the car will be tested and stunt drivers trained before the car is transported back to Detroit for filming.
There are rumors that they planned on designing the Batmobile after a 1943 Cadillac, which, if you are a die-hard Batman fan, you know the Gotham City world has an old fashioned twist to it. They are keeping at secretive as possible, but hopefully come February, we will get some set images and the new ride.
