With the tragic death of Paul Walker, most of us wondered what would happen with Fast & Furious 7. There were still scenes for Walker to shoot, and just bringing the cast back into the world of fast cars, it would surely be rather difficult to get the movie done. The crew came up with the idea for rewrites, and to maybe use Walker’s brother Cody to fill in for scenes that still needed to be shot. The original 2014 date was then soon changed, but there was no word on a new release date. Today, Vin Diesel went to his Facebook fan page to let everyone know that Fast & Furious will see a 2015 release.
The last scene we filmed together…
There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…
Fast and Furious 7 will be released…
April 10th 2015!
P.s. He’d want you to know first…
Another sequel for 2015, and I am glad he is showing enthusiasm for getting back to shooting. I’m sure it will be very difficult to wrap up the movie, but these actors are professionals, and will dedicate the movie to the late Paul Walker.
