Christian Bale has hung up his cape, and is now going to part the Red Sea. Bale has been currently filming Ridley Scott’s new movie, Exodus, which is based off the story of Moses. First image from the movie is shown above, which will show up in tomorrow’s Empire Magazine.
We all are pretty familiar with the story of Moses. Found and adopted by royalty, then he gets a message from a burning bush that is the voice of God, where he then sets out on a 40 year journey to freeĀ Israelite slaves. The greatest superpower Moses has is the ability to part the Red Sea.
This version of the Moses story is actually loosely based of the Charlton Heston movie, The Ten Commandments, which came out in 1956. Scott wants to bring the scope of that movie to this version, and by doing so, he hired on a ton of extras, instead of doing it the easy with CG.
Exodus will hit theaters sometime in 2014. With Christian Bale, Exodus also stars such familiar faces as Aaron Paul, and Sigourney Weaver.
