With Batman Vs. Superman being delayed another year, this leaves Warner Bros. and the production more time to figure out what characters will be in the film, as well as who will play them. The rumor mill has been spinning like a fan, and the two actors mentioned for Aquaman were Jason Momoa and Josh Holloway. Momoa denied any attachment to the movie, and now Holloway has come out to address the rumor that he might be playing the ocean-based superhero.
It hasn’t been brought to my attention by my people, so maybe they’re just floating it softly around, but that would be cool! Sure, I think I’m available at the moment as we just wrapped up [Intelligence]. I’m an actor, I like different roles. Batman movies are awesome, Marvel movies are awesome. But we’ll see, I’m on a series right now. I think they usually want to sign you up for several movies and I don’t know if you can do that when you’re committed to a series…
Makes sense. When you get asked to play a superhero nowadays, you’re most likely committed to playing that hero for a few movies. If Holloway’s new series Intelligence happens to take off, then his availability will dwindle, and I am sure Warner Bros. has considered that. Plus, why the hell would we need Aquaman in this movie anyways? That would truly be overkill on Justice League Players showing up in this movie about two heroes duking it out, so I highly doubt they have thrown him in the mix. Let me know your thoughts about all this.
