Ignore the terrible pun that is the title to this post. We all know that there will be no I, Frankenstein franchise. But guess what place it landed in this weekend? 6th. Yeah it didn’t find much of an audience, because Hollywood yet again pooped on a graphic novel adaptation. Ride Along scored another box office win this weekend, pulling in another $21.2 million for a total gross of $75.4 million. Here is how the rest of the movies did this weekend.

  1. Ride Along – $21.2 million Total – $75.4 million
  2. Lone Survivor – $12.6 million Total – $93.6 million
  3. The Nut Job – $12.3 million Total – $40.3 million
  4. Frozen – $9 million Total – $347.8 million
  5. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit – $8.8 million Total – $30.2 million
  6. I, Frankenstein – $8.3 million Total – $8.3 million
  7. America Hustle – $7.1 million Total – $127 million
  8. August: Osage County – $5 million Total – $26.5 million
  9. The Wolf of Wall Street – $5 million Total – $98 million
  10. Devil’s Due – $2.8 million Total – $12.9 million

It makes me wonder what is going through Aaron Eckart’s head right now. When does an actor realize that they’re in a stinker of a movie? In the middle of filming? After the filming? After the first cut of the flick is watched? It puzzles me, but hopefully it won’t hurt his career. Want to know some craziness about this movie involving numbers? Eckart trained for 6 months, to come in 6th place opening weekend, and to score a 6% on Rotten Tomatoes. 666, I guess it was destined.
