Well this is a sad Sunday morning. The talented Oscar winning actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment in West Village. He was only 46, and cause of death has yet to be determined, but he was found with a needle in his arm, so yeah, likely death was due to a drug overdose.
Hoffman has suffered the drug addiction demon for a good part of his movie career. 2006, he went to rehab to sober up from those demons, but in 2012, he checked himself in once again due to a relapse.
It was all that (drugs and alcohol), yeah. It was anything I could get my hands on…I liked it all.
That is what he told 60 minutes in an interview, where he talked about his drug addiction. It is sad when the drug demon takes a talented individual like Philip Seymour Hoffman was, and he will be a missed piece of talent. Let me know some of your favorite roles his was in.
