After Batman Vs. Superman got pushed to its May 6th, 2016 release, there was an untitled Marvel movie that was set to release around that date. Speculation concluded that it was going to be Dr. Strange, or possibly Black Panther, but the peeps over at Joblo say its for Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Now maybe Marvel doesn’t want to announce the sequel quite yet, given the first movie doesn’t come out until August 1st. A lot of people are kind of worried about just how the movie will be welcomed in the Marvel Universe, so this could be why they don’t want to name that untitled project quite yet.
If this rumor is true, it would be the quickest superhero sequel to hit the big screen. Usually studios leave at least 2-year gap, but we might only see a 1-year gap in between Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
