The LEGO Movie brings to life all those fantasies we had as kids when we used to build away. Of course, LEGOs have gotten so much better, but that is besides the point. Chris Pratt voices the main character, Emmet, who is not exactly smartest LEGO in the set. He then comes across mythical force where he is then deemed the Chosen One to end the evil plans of Lord Business of ending the world, which is voiced be Will Ferrell.
I, of course, loved The LEGO Movie, which wasn’t shocking given the buzz about it. It meets that animation kid fun, with some jokes that appeal to the adults just right. I loved how everything was made of LEGOs, and I mean the fire, explosions, smoke, and the water. The movie is witty, smart, and just all around entertaining not matter what age you are. And Will Arnett voicing Batman was just too good.
For a moment I was thinking that maybe the scope of the movie was a little too much, because they jump between the different LEGO worlds. It ended up working for me after a while, and I am looking forward to the sequel that is already in development.
