It is now official: Jai Courtney will play Kyle Reese in the new Terminator reboot. The Kyle Reese character of course showed up in the ver first Terminator, play by Michael Biehn. He is John Connor’s father in a crazy paradox of time travel nookie, so he joins Jason Clarke, who plays future John Connor, and Emilia Clarke, who plays young Sarah, in the new story.
Jai Courtney hasn’t really had a role in a successful movie in his young career quite yet. He played John McClane’s son in A Good Day to Die Hard, which we can all agree was an atrocity. He then had a role in the recent I, Frankenstein, and again, another crap movie. He certainly has the look for a new action movie stud, so maybe grabbing this role in the Terminator world will turn things around. Let me know your thoughts on this casting.
