And for the WTF news of the day: LeBron James will star in Space Jam 2. If you guys were unaware, Michael Jordan starred in the original Space Jam movie that saw him being sucked into the Looney Tunes world, where of course, he had to play basketball to save the to save the cartoon world. Guess James is still trying to prove that he is a better player than Jordan.
A script has been finished, but there has been no story details quite yet, nor is there a director or scheduled time of production. The original Space Jam movie grossed $230 million worldwide, but it was back in 1996 which was a different time in movies. Don’t know how LeBron James is going to add any spice to a new round of basketball with cartoon characters. Let me know what you think about this.
UPDATE: According to a LeBron’s people, this is all a hogwash. Not Space Jam 2, which is a VERY good thing.
Well it was fun while it lasted. LeBron sources refute Deadline report, there’s no Space Jam 2 or Warner Bros. project in works
