Happy Sunday to you all. Time to see who became the champion of this box office weekend. Newcomers Need For Speed and Single Moms Club duke it out for box office go, but neither one could pull it off. Moviegoers did not really have a Need For Speed this weekend, given that the street-racing flick only pulled the third spot with $17.8 million. I think people are finally getting tired of Tyler Perry’s repetitive storytelling because his new movie came in fifth with only $8.3 million. Here is how the top 10 did:

  1. Mr. Peabody and Sherman – $21.1 million TOTAL – $63.2 million
  2. 300: Rise of an Empire – $19.1 million TOTAL – $78.3 million
  3. Need For Speed – $17.8 million TOTAL $17.8 million
  4. Non-Stop – $10.6 million TOTAL – $68.8 million
  5. Single Moms Club – $8.3 million TOTAL – $8.3 million
  6. The LEGO Movie – $7.7 million TOTAL – $236.9 million
  7. Son of God – $5.4 million TOTAL – $50.9 million
  8. Grand Budapest Hotel – $3.6 million TOTAL – $4.8 million
  9. Frozen – $2.1 million TOTAL – $396.4 million
  10. Veronica Mars – $2 million – TOTAL – $2 million

So let me know what you saw this weekend and what you thought about it. Aaron Paul achieved lead man status, but sadly the movie fell short.
