A lot of pressure was on the makers of Divergent this weekend. The marketing budget alone probably cost more than the entire film’s budget. They were so confident that this movie would be a hit, they already scheduled the two sequels, so hopes for another Hunger Games was in the air. They got their wish and found their audience, as Divergent scored $56 million this weekend.
