Star Wars Episode VIII Shorlist for Female Lead by filmjunkee
Three women are apparently competing to grab the female lead role in Star Wars Episode VIII, which kind of puzzles me given we already have our leads that will be in The Force Awakens. Guess more strong characters will be introduced throughout the new trilogy, instead of having the same three main characters throughout like they did with the original trilogy. Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Olivia Cooke (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl). It’s a fight to the death ladies, and whoever gets I am sure will knock it out of the park.
