Ben Affleck Says the Batman Movie is on Track… by filmjunkee
Variety has started a massive wave using the word “indicate” when talking to Ben Affleck at an event where he mainly talked about his new movie, Live By Night. The Batman movie of course got brought up, and according to Variety, Affleck indicated that the movie starts production in Spring. Here’s the quote:
We’re on the right track with that and everything is coming together. We’re still finishing up a script. I’m very excited.
Okay, no indication in that quote on when production starts. Variety simply just wrote that he did, and every site has been posting about it. Maybe he did, but I want to know HOW he did. If it’s not in a quote, did he answer the question when production starts? Did he point at a chart of the seasons? Seems like anxious fanboys and clickbait sites are running with this a little too lightly. I hope it’s true though.
