The Fox Marvel universe seemed like it was on the right track after the success of Deadpool and Logan. The first New Mutants trailer was pretty amazing and Deadpool 2 also seemed on the right track. Deadpool 2 will still release when it is supposed to, but X-Men: Dark Phoenix has now been delayed to February 14, 2019, from November of this year, and New Mutants gets pushed to August 2, 2019, from February 22nd. Hey, least they’re delaying due to reshoots.
That buzz word we got many times with Justice League, “significant”, is being used in headlines as Dark Phoenix will go into reshoot mode. Does this have anything to do with the MCU? Most likely not given the deal won’t go through for a couple years, but what if they’re setting the table? Dark Phoenix takes place in the 90’s and so does another current MCU movie in production, Captain Marvel.
