Bradley Cooper PASSED on Playing Lex Luthor in Superman Legacy?

Dave Bautista mentioned recently that he has not talked to James Gunn about playing Lex Luthor in Superman Legacy. Then there was a rumor that the Guardians of the Galaxy cast member that Gunn actually talked to about playing Luthor was Bradley Cooper.
