It’s finally official folks! The Deadpool movie has been officially announced by Fox, and will hit theaters on February 12th, 2016! And what comes out a month and a half later? Batman v Superman! Oh that’s so good. My favorite comicbook characters releasing within a month and half from each other. What’s funny about the announcement is that blogs started posting about Reynolds reaction to the positive response to the test footage before Fox made the announcement. Here is what he had to say:
The movie has been in a state of limbo for a while. There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, ‘Oh, so we weren’t crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.’ It’s interesting to see the power of the Internet. It’s awe-inspiring, actually. And it’s neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way.
Amen Reynolds. Amen. We were all wondering why Fox hadn’t announced it yet, given the footage has been out for almost two months now. So mark your calendars friends. Deadpool hitting theaters February 12th, 2016. Let me know how excited you are.
